NHS Community Development Corp. is pleased to announce an open house for 4 fully renovated mixed use buildings in Brownsville/East New York, Brooklyn on Sunday, June 13th from 1:00-4:00 (Rain or Shine). These buildings were rehabilitated through the HPD StoreWorks program and feature a 20 year UDAAP tax abatement. Residential or commercial occupancy is required.

* * Buyers intending to live in the building may be eligible for up to $200,000 in NSP Downpayment Assistance. Income and occupancy restrictions apply.

NHS Community Development Corp. invites Brooklyn homebuyers, small business owners and entrepreneurs to view 7 newly renovated mixed use buildings for sale in the Ocean Hill/Brownsville area of Brooklyn. NHS staff will be on hand to answer questions, hand out applications, and discuss the NSP Downpayment Assistance program which provides up to $200,000 towards the purchase of a StoreWorks building. Income and occupancy restrictions apply.

Con Edison Introduces a Business Incubator Business Incentive Rate

Con Edison has long offered a Business Incentive Rate that provides special reduced energy rates to attract and retain businesses and jobs in New York City and Westchester County.

As of April 1, 2010, two new categories of eligible businesses are available: business incubators and business incubator graduates.

NSP Downpayment Assistance Now Available for StoreWorks Buyers

On Thursday, February 4, 2010, NHS Community Development Corp. (NHS CDC), a real estate subsidiary of Neighborhood Housing Services of NYC, announced a new downpayment assistance program to help buyers purchase NHS StoreWorks buildings. This program includes $1.4M in funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). These funds were awarded to NHS CDC by the New York State Housing Finance Agency and applications are now available at:  www.nhsnyc.org/storeworks
