Do you have a tax credit project nearing the end of the 15-year compliance period (Year 15)? If so, you may have already been contacted by your investor about its desire to exit the project. This workshop will provide invaluable guidance on the legal and practical issues as well as step-by-step instructions on how to prepare for and manage the year 15 closing process. Topics will include how to prepare for "year 15", conducting title and violation searches, transfer tax consequences, and ownership structure. The workshop will be presented in a format that will allow for an informal discussion about the pre-closing and closing process. Additional presenters are to be determined and may include guest speakers from HPD and tax credit syndicators.
