On December 2nd, New Partners for Community Revitalization (NPCR) is holding their 2nd Annual Brownfields Forum, "New Directions In Brownfields: Building Sustainable Communities Through Stronger City, State, and Federal Partnerships."
Recent changes to the political and legislative landscape have created an enormous opportunity to craft new approaches and solutions to protect the environment and address underserved communities. Public, private and community leaders in neighborhood revitalization, sustainability and brownfields redevelopment will come together for presentations and discussions about the challenges and opportunities ahead. The Forum will cover the latest information on new resources, programs, rules and laws relating to brownfields redevelopment, the Obama Administration’s Partnership for Sustainable Communities, new approaches by the EPA, information on the BOA Program and Spotlight Communities initiative, efforts to expand eligibility for the Brownfield Cleanup Program and target brownfield tax credits, and much more!
For more information and to register for the Forum, go to the NPCR website at www.npcr.net. Space is limited, so don’t delay! Last year over 50 people were turned away because of space limitations. Tickets are $100; $35 for nonprofits and government. Requests for Scholarships should be sent to Jody Kass at jodykass@npcr.net. All other questions should be directed to Kathleen Parisi at Kathleen@k2new.net or call (917) 576-6283.
