CEDC Quarterly Meeting

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

8:30am to 10:30am

Timothy King, Principal and Co-founder, CPEX Real Estate, and president of the Montague Street BID, will discuss recent trends in the retail leasing market in Brooklyn.

In a short time, CPEX has become the market leader in retail leasing in Brooklyn. Tim King, one of CPEX’s founders, will provide a realistic view of the retail market in Brooklyn including:
  • How active is the market? How long does it take to lease a typical location?
  • What tenants are “hot” and who landlords are looking to avoid
  • Are landlords really making concessions in this down economy? What can a tenant reasonably negotiate?
  • Pitfalls to watch out for before signing a lease – what your lawyer doesn’t always tell you
